The Blue Devils Academy is proud to announce the arrival of Kyle Porter to the coaching staff.
Kyle grew up in Mississauga before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency Program in 2008. He has played over 150 professional matches in the MLS, Canadian Premier League, NASL, and USL. He still plays for local side York9 FC. Internationally Kyle has represented Canada at youth levels and has suited up for the National Team on seven occasions. Kyle currently plays for York9 FC of the Canadian Premier League.
Effective immediately Kyle will be taking over the U-13 Boys team. Porter spoke with Blue Devils Academy online saying “I’m truly honoured and excited to be a part of such a great club! It is a huge opportunity for me to learn from some great coaches that have made the Blue Devils the club it is today. I want to be a role model and inspiration to the youth. I will push every single player and help them achieve whatever goal they set out to have in the game.”
Blue Devils Academy Technical Director Brett Mosen is excited to introduce the academy’s latest addition to the players “Kyle is a player who brings a lot of experience to the table and knows exactly what it takes to be a professional at a very high level, something these players should be aspiring to do themselves.”
The Blue Devils Academy feeds players directly into the Oakville Blue Devils League1 Ontario First-Team. Since inception, more than 150 players have moved on from League1 Ontario to professional environments.
Open Days and trials will be held in the coming weeks for players looking to join the Blue Devils Academy.
