BDFC is currently looking for coaches for our Summer Youth House League and Development program. The program will run for 12 weeks from the end of May until mid-August with the expectation that you will commit to coaching all 12 weeks of your assigned sessions.  BDFC aims to provide our program participants with an opportunity to grow their appreciation of soccer through player development and fun! Successful candidates would have an outgoing disposition, experience or interest in working with children, have working knowledge of the technical aspect of soccer (or simply a passion for the game!).  Successful candidates ages 18+ will be asked to provide a criminal reference check with vulnerable sector attachment and all candidates will be required to obtain their Heads Up Concussion, Respect in Sports and Respect in Workplace Certifications.
Position Summary:
  • Oversee and implement weekly training plans and sessions for the House League and Development program (ages 2-12 years).
  • Commit to coaching multiple training sessions on different nights of the week and/or mornings on the weekends for 12 weeks (schedule example 5:30-8:30pm Weekdays and 9am-12pm Weekends *subject to changes).
  • Create a fun, safe and physically active environment for all players
  • Follow the club’s technical curriculum provided by the Recreation Technical Director
  • Work with the Recreational Technical Director to ensure the player development plan is being executed
Milton Soccer Academy Summer House League Coach

Milton Soccer Academy, a not-for-profit Community Soccer Club in Milton, Ontario, is presently recruiting individuals with strong soccer playing experience at a highly competitive level to coach age four to 12-year old youth players during evenings in May to third week in August, 2022, a 12-14 week duration.
Reporting to the Club’s Director – Technical Programs, the successful candidate should have patience, enjoy working with children and youth while making things fun, be punctual and organized, have good time management skills, as well as being adaptable. An ability to demonstrate technical skills of the game is essential. An NCCP Number is required prior to employment. Prior experience as a coach is beneficial, but not necessary. Successful candidates are expected to coach the entire duration from the start to the finish of the season.
Practices for players are run nightly from Monday to Thursday starting at 6:30 pm and going until 8:45 pm. Coaches are expected to be at the park 15-20 minutes before the commencement of their session. Coach training prior to the season will take place on weekends and evenings, with some courses being done on-line. Practice plans will be given each week. Mentoring with feedback will be provided. A uniform along with cones, pinnies, goals, balls, and other equipment will be provided. Coach must provide their own appropriate soccer footwear.

Qualifications:

  • must be 16 years of age or older
  • experience working with children
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills soccer or other sports.

Camp leaders should express a true love and appreciation for soccer or other sports. Camp leaders must have the ability to observe and assess camper safety in all situations, and maintain high energy levels and enthusiasm.

Camp leaders will receive professional training and expert support and supervision.

**We would gladly accept high school student volunteers, who wish to complete their community hours.
