JOHN YACOU NAMED NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR FOR FEMALE PROGRAM

Oakville –  On Monday Oakville Blue Devils FC announced the appointment of John Yacou as the new Technical Director for the organization’s female program. John joined the Blue Devils in 2018 as League1 Ontario Women’s Head Coach and will retain that position within his extended role. John will also assume the position of the U21 Female reserve team, together with overseeing the development and technical structure of the female academy program. “John brings a wealth of experience into our ongoing program development, his recent involvement on the senior technical staff with both North Mississauga and Hamilton United OPDL,  together with his assistant coach role at McMaster University will prove of great benefit to our young players” commented Club Head Coach Duncan Wilde. “John also brings both a UEFA and Canadian ‘B’ License and is a candidate for the ‘A’ License in 2020. He has been working on League1 Ontario Women’s preparations for  the last several weeks and he will commence the new extended role with immediate effect.” Congratulations John!

Are You The Next Blue Devil?

If you wish to attend an Open Day (U9–U12) or to be considered for a trial (U13–U21) at the Blue Devils Academy, please provide the information requested below. Once we have received your information, our development staff will contact you regarding available Open Days or to arrange an initial evaluation.

Upon completion of the initial evaluation, if the development staff feels that the player has the potential to play at the Academy level, you will be invited in for a trial with the current players in your age group.

The trial will last up to a maximum of two weeks during which time you will be monitored by the Head Coach and Technical Director of your age group.
